Facebook Donation Issue

Has anyone had an issue where their organization Facebook page is no longer accepting donations? We had someone try to connect their TeamRaiser page to Facebook and they alerted us that they were getting an error. In the search to find out what was wrong, it looks like our “charity is not set up to receive donations” which I have no idea why, because we have been receiving donations for years without issue. We never received any alerts that there was an issue, and did not make any changes to our fundraising settings. Our donate button is gone, and no one can create a fundraiser. I have reached out to Facebook, but I don't have high hopes in receiving an answer anytime soon, so I thought I would see if something similar had happened to anyone else.

Hi Alessandra,

It's possible your account was deactivated because you did not complete the required annual checkup. We use FB with Teamraiser and I just got notice that I must complete this Data Use checkup by march, otherwise our account will be deactivated. Here is the link for more information. Hope thi
