Course Request Parent Approval Process

Hello,

We are working on streamlining our parent approval process for courses in 23-24 and thought I would throw this out for discussion. What is your process for having parents sign off on your their student's course request/selections?? Thanks in advance!

    @Josceline Reardon - For us, there is no requirement that parents approve the requests.

    Parents get view permission for the student's requests at the same time that students get edit permission to submit the requests (in mid-April). Current students must have requests entered by early May. View permission for students and parents continues until about June 1. The process is the same for incoming students, but the start and end dates are somewhat later in the spring.

    We tell the parents that they can look at the requests and contact the advisor or the Academic Dean if they have questions or concerns.

  • @Josceline Reardon - When I was responsible for this at my previous school, I created a form and had them sign off on the course requests that way.
