Filter constituent list giving by amount?

What would be the best report to be able to filter and see a list of constituents based on their annual giving. Example 2022 givers with an annual giving total of 12k+

@Michelle Stone On a Constituent List, you can filter on Total Giving, and specify gift dates and amounts.

@Marie Stark Ok, yes, we got that far but were then wondering how to filter with in those results. If we have last year total giving only showing, how do we then say within this time frame, we want anything over 12K for just that year? or will what you are saying report on that? I was assuming it was still giving me a lifetime total

@Michelle Stone If you are working in RE Database View, the criteria to use would be Summary for Gift (Total Amount of Gifts) then choose the gift types you want and I would include soft credits, to pick up those who give thru a Donor Advised Fund or a company and gift range and any other filters you may want. Once you have that, use an export and attach the query and then you bring over the info you would like to see, Name, Address, Total Giving for 2022 (make sure to set that up in the export as well) or anything else you want to see. Just do not use Query to export the information, use the actual RE Export.

@Joe Moretti I can run it in RE but was hoping to find something for my fundraisers who are using NXT only. A quick easy report for them to see the annual amount for the filtered date range.

@Michelle Stone Unfortunately in RE NXT, you will not be able to show the particular total you want to see, only the Total Giving for all time. This is the issue with RE NXT, reporting is very limited compared to Database View.

@Michelle Stone Just a word of caution, too, that you may want to consider how NXT is handling soft credits, especially with regard to matching gift funds, so your lifetime giving totals are the same in database view vs NXT. Not to open another can of worms, but that “lifetime giving” box can have all sorts of surprises…
