ETL package from old Blackbaud data warehouse is not working - cross posted

We still use the original BB data warehouse. We get a backup file each night and then detach the previous backup file and attach the new backup file. We then run a series of ETL/dtsx packages that update our data warehouse from the live database that was just attached. It has worked fine for quite a while and suddenly over the weekend it stopped working.

Through trouble shooting I've found that it does update some of the initial tables but when it hits the constituent load it hangs. It literally stops and just sits there. I can't cancel out of it - I have to use task manager to close it. I can't even go in the ETL package itself and click on anything - it hangs there as well. I can sometimes see the error: "sql server management studio waiting for an internal operation to complete" . We doubled the memory and it still won't work.

FYI, I can go back to a backup from a week ago and it still works fine. I'm not sure if something has changed in the DB - I can usually find those kinds of changes by running the ETL manually.

Any one having the same problem? Anyone have any ideas on how to fix it? Anyone have any experience with this old package? I'm willing to pay - we need this fixed asap.

@Crystal Bruce I put a support case in on Monday and don't have any answers yet. I've also talked to our contact person asking about hiring BB but there is a 10-12 week wait. I'm reaching out to anyone who might be able to help. I asked Ansley to also reach out to other customers that might be able to help. I'm scrambling - this is critical for us.
