Amending a recurring gift?

I have a donor who scanned our QR code at an event and meant to give a one-time gift but gave a recurring. He has asked that I make the change. I have gone to the Recurring Gift Summary and chosen Amend Schedule but it does not give me the option of converting to a one-time gift. How might I do this?

@Tami Collins - Unfortunately there is no way to convert a Recurring Gift to a Cash gift type. I recommend you charge the Recurring Gift once, the resulting cash gift will be recorded with a type of Recurring Gift Pay-Cash. Immediately following that, mark Recurring Gift's status field as “Terminated” to prevent future charges.

@Tami Collins - Is it set up to run automatically in Web View? You can tell by looking at the gift record in DBV and being unable to see the specific credit card/direct debit information.

@Austen Brown on the web side I can see in RECURRING GIFT SUMMARY that today's gift that processed and it is set up to process every Thursday with the next one scheduled for 5/18/23. In the PAYMENT INFORMATION section I can VIEW CREDIT CARD INFORMATION and see last four of the card and expiration. I don't see any section or field where could type in or choose TERMINATED from a drop-down

On the DB side when I am on the GIFT tab the STATUS/DATE field reads ACTIVE but I am not able to change it. I can also click on SCHEDULE but once there, I cannot change anything and there is no field where I could enter or choose TERMINATED.

@Tami Collins - Within Web View, locate the original Recurring Gift record. Near the top of the screen select “Mark As” > “Terminated”. Here's a screenshot to help out:
