Prospect Management tab - Gifts to other organisations - mapping between RE Database View and NXT

Hi everyone,
We have been looking into using the Prospect Management tab in NXT more thoroughly. Confused as to why we can create and edit Gifts to other Organisations in RE Database View, but only view it (and not edit it) in NXT, where it appears as Contributions? Also, the gifts entered as Gifts to other Organisations in Database View are appearing as ‘Contributions - Other gifts’ in NXT, but there are also categories of 'Philanthropic gifts' or ‘Political gifts’. How can I enter my gift in Database View and have it appear as Philanthropic or Political in NXT?

@Jennie Henderson Most of ours come from the link/sync with Research Point. In DBV the ‘Reason’ is what's driving those categories.

@Jennie HendersonKisha is correct. Also those gifts relate to other organizations, they are not the gifts that are entered into RE as your donations.

@Joe Moretti Although you orgs will show too if they appear in research point, they just are not pulling from and might not match your gifts tab.
