Adding different constituent criteria

Hello ?,

I am trying to set up different workflows, but am wanting to know if it is possible to set up different constituent criteria, instead of the standard “when a constituent gives a gift”. Is there a way to add more to this drop down? And, if so, where do I add them, I have looked everywhere and a google search and knowledgebase has yielded no results. I'm assuming if you can add them, I can set up criteria like when a person is added as an adopter, or their dogs birthday, etc. (We are a dog rescue)

Also, I would like to only send emails to a group that let's say donated by check. Is this done through my list, as I see no criteria option to add a payment type, or any other types of fields except for gift type, gift code etc.

NXT workflow functionality is limited to what you see, if you want more, you will need to submit Idea to RE NXT Idea bank.

All other ways to filter and do custom is going to be something you will have to build custom using Blackbaud's SKY API. FYI in case you want to go that route yoursevles or with a vendor/partner of BB.

@Melissa Duffy - Try basing your workflow off of a Constituent List, you'll have more control over the constituents included. As @Alex Wong mentioned, NXT workflow has limited functionality. It is entirely plausible that what you are looking to do is currently not possible due to the limitations of this feature. If that's the case, take a look at this blog - it talks about an alternative platform, Power Automate, where you can build customized workflows without coding experience:

@Melissa Duffy RE NXT is extremely limited, but then this is what happens when a behemoth like Blackbaud buys out so many other companies and do not focus on their original products to make better. You are left with incomplete products that you are constantly needing to buys some other product. Beside the fact that Blackbaud nickels and dimes you for everything.
