NXT add ons/integration

Can anyone point me in a direction to find a list of add ons for NXT and a description of what they do, what's included, and what costs additional to add vs. what we already have with NXT? I live in database view, so working with NXT is not my strongest skill.

It's so confusing ! I'm thinking things specifically like: ProspectPoint, Prospect Insights, WealthPoint, ResearchPoint, Affluence Insight, Blackbaud Analytics, Target Analytics, Wealth Insights, Blackbaud Advanced Wealth Analytics Solution, Blackbaud Advanced Wealth Insight Solution…I could probably add more. There's slight differences in names, but finding concise information about them is proving difficult. We know we need to add something to help us with donor research, but I want to make sure we make the right choice. As I started looking into what Blackbaud offers, that's where I got very confused. I honestly wonder if they make it intentionally confusing or if they are buying up other smaller orgs and as they add them to their products, they are similar but different.

Salespeople are not that helpful because they seem to only know a product or two and our rep changes so often, I'll admit I don't have confidence there.

@Chris Fedor - I recommend reaching out to your customer success manager, they may be able to help you out in this regard. I personally have used ResearchPoint (BB add-on) for prospect research, this integrates with RE NXT - the data appears within Prospect > Ratings in database and on a tile in web view.

Not sure that I could point you in any direction, but I will say that not a single one of those is included with your subscription. Someone may have negotiated a deal, but none of those are standard.

They are also not webview-specific. Keep in mind that “NXT” includes both database view and webview, and that “NXT” does not equal “webview”. NXT is simply the next version of Raiser's Edge.

You are VERY correct that it is confusing. Even if you sorted it all out today and had a document defining each option, it would change within a few months. Blackbaud is constantly renaming and repackaging things, and since they are not transparent about pricing, it is impossible to pin anything down.

Are you looking for curiosity's sake, or do you have a directive from someone to investigate more?

@Carol Belair maybe you have such a document handy? Or can point @Chris Fedor to one?

  • @Karen Diener I had a demo of one product and someone else in my org just set up a demo with another product after participating in a webinar and it got me trying to understand it all to see what would be most helpful for us. As I looked further, it just got more confusing.

  • @Chris Fedor Just go to help in NXT and type “NXT add ons ” and the list will populate for you with a brief description of each add-on.
