RE API and Soft Credit Business Rules

Just wanted to put this out there as an FYI. It seems there is an issue with BB's API when importing gifts into a batch. The soft credit function seems to work when in the batch. The spouse has the full value of the gift applied when clicking on the soft credit button. However, once the gift is committed, it is changed to $0 on the record.

BB has claimed this is to do with the importing of gifts into the batch by an outside program and needs to be corrected on their end. Zeidman (we use Importacular) has said that since the soft credit is not created by their program, but by RE, that it falls outside of their scope of control. Logically, this makes sense. No data in the soft credit field is being imported, it is being created based on a business rule.

If you use any of these types of programs to create a gift batch and have that business rule turned on, are you experiencing this same issue?

    @ Lee Grisham - I would definitely check back with the team at Zeidman since it's been a couple of months and I believe they may have been working on a fix for this prior to my changing roles.
