How do I create an auto pop-up reminder after someone makes an edit to a constituent?

We have a bad habit of adding new constituent codes without remembering to delete the previous (now contradicting) code. Example: Student → Withdrawn Student. Meaning, in the past we've added Withdrawn Student without removing Student.

How do I create a reminder pop-up that says something along the lines of “Remember to delete any contradicting constituent code” (would probably use different language, but that's the gist) that pops up every time an edit is made to any record's constituent codes?

I am not aware of any way to have a dynamic pop-up like you are looking for. Business rules are based on a query and ‘pop-up' when a record is opened.

You could have a rule based on a query of constituent code = student however the pop-up would appear every time a user opened a student record regardless of if they opened it to change constituency. If you work in db view alot you find closing those pop-ups can be annoying and tendency becomes to ignore them.

Things like this are usually caught in data integrity checks and clean up tasks. Say creating a query for records that have both of those codes and running it weekly or monthly to find and edit those records.
