How can I find out if a credit card was enter in the system as a recurring credit card or a one time donation?

Not sure what you mean but I go to the database and enter the credit card there. Hope this helps. New to this since last month.

@Gerri Dudenhoeffer - I'm specifcally asking where you go in the database to enter the credit card number. Are you going to a constituent record on the Bio2/Org2 tab? or are you entering the credit card directly in a gift record?

@Gerri Dudenhoeffer - Thanks for the clarification. In that case, it would be determined by the type of gift you are entering into the system. If the type is “Recurring Gift” than it will be used to process a recurring gift; if the type is “Cash” it is a one-time gift.

On a side note - it is a best practice to enter gifts through a gift batch (Batch > New Gift Batch). It serves two purposes - tracking how gifts that are entered within a group, an audit trail of sorts and a gift batch is the area where you charge credit cards within RE database view.
