Hi there Asia Pacific group

A general quesition that if anyone in this group (has already) or know of an organisation that has sucessfuly integrated BBCRM through Sky API with another application, such as peer-to-peer fundraising platforms?

    Hi Donya. At ANU we have a couple of integrations with other ANU systems, but they are all using the BBCRM SOAP API.
    We are doing some ad-hoc integration with other platforms via Microsoft Power Automate, which then use the BBCRM SOAP API.
    We've done some preliminary testing of the available BBCRM cloud REST API, but are not actively using it.

    And I'm not 100% sure what options the SKY platform might now open up via the market place etc.

    But happy to chat/share any additional details on what we are doing if that helps.

    Hi Donna,

    So far I have done a few integrations with FundraiseUP (Donation Form), MailChimp (only being used for email address captures on the website) and Tatango (Text Messaging). All of these integrations are being done primarily with Microsoft Power Automate using the SKY API and occasionally requests through the BBCRM SOAP API.

    For example, FundraiseUp outputs an export of all donations received for the day to a .csv file in SFTP. I then use Power Automate to pull the information from that file, then it uses the SKY API to find constituents with matching information to the donation. Then it will create my recurring gift records and then create an exported CSV file with additional information from CRM or needed for the batch and then create a CSV file in an SFTP that CRM then processes as an import.

    For MailChimp and Tatango it is searching CRM for matching email addresses or phone numbers and then adding the appropriate solicit codes to records or updating records in CRM based on changes in those systems.

    I am also currently working on a solution to connect BBCRM to Feathr for email marketing. We are looking to move all of our email communications to Feathr, this would also include any automated email series we have built in BBIS.
