NXT Auto Address Updater and ConnectRE

Is anyone using the auto address updater in NXT who also uses ConnectRE to sync data from the CORE products? I have been told by BB that there is essentially no good way to ensure that the CORE addresses are updated without an extremely complicated import(s) and that it usually results in errors. I'm interested to hear is anyone has done it.

@Austen Brown Thanks for the shoutout. My organization does not use ConnectRE because I'm dissatisfied with the functionality.

@Karen Roop, I'd suggest attending the upcoming PUBs (Product Update Briefings) as my understanding is that there will be information coming out related to data between Education Management and RENXT. After that information comes out, you should revisit this question both here and in the Facebook group (not Blackbaud sponsored) if you aren't a part of that group as well.

@Karen Roop We use Connect RE and use the NCOA updates through web view. After it updates the records, I pull the list of records that were updated and filter on present parents. Then I manually update the parent addresses in Core to match what has come through to RE. It’s not the most efficient process but it’s necessary until Connect RE is a two way sync.

@Brandon Stein Thanks, Brandon. I was thinking that would be our only option. Just trying to avoid it if possible. In addition to current parents, we also sync current GPs, Alumni, and current F/S, so our list might be extensive at least the first time we run it.

@Karen Roop Unfortunately, yes…the first time will probably suck. At BBCON they did mention that a new integration to replace Connect RE is in the works. The product manager said it would be a two way sync to transfer data from RE to Core and Core to RE. From what I heard, they will be doing discovery and testing on the new connector in the summer of 2024.
