Add Existing Assignment button gone?

Hey there all.

I have a teacher who is mourning the loss of the Add Existing Assignment button that was at the top of the Add+ Assignment module. I assume this is because of this recent change and now the only option is to use the List View only > More > Import Assignments option, which is more clicks and tied to the List View only. Are we missing something? Thanks for any insight!

    You are correct. When we moved all of the +Add assignment options to point to the same builder, we lost the +add existing function that was available in the calendar views.

    We're going to take a look into making the Import function available on the Calendar view as well as the List view. I also know there's feedback around the Import wizard as a whole, so I'll be seeing if we can refine that workflow to make it a little easier to use in the future.

    No timeline to relay at the moment, but it is something we're investigating.

    Maybe tangentially related, you can't delete an assignment from the new calendar view from what we can tell. You have to go to list view and use the … menu to delete the assignment.

    It used to be that I could import an assignment from the calendar view in OnCampus. When you clicked +Assignment and the page popped up, it was a red line that said ‘import existing assignment’ right next to the Add Assignment title in the top left. I know I can do this from the list view and that is still working. But doing it from calendar view was a much cleaner view of previous assignments and it showed me when each of my classes met, so I could assign it to each class independently. From list view, it doesn’t show me when my classes meet and there is no option to assign to separate classes independently, so I have to randomly assign it, then check my schedule and move each one separately.

    It's a small thing, but it was just so much smoother the other way! So if I can get it back, I’d be super happy!
