The Path to Centering the Applicant Experience -- December Thought Leadership Discussion

Hello all!

In an effort to make our monthly thought leadership webinar series more of a monthly conversation, I've decided to open a discussion here in Community ahead of each new webinar to introduce the topic and start the conversation.

I'll provide a description of the webinar, link to any associated blogs we're posting, and the speaker's biographical information.

I invite you to ask questions that you'd like answered here or in the webinar; as well as to share any experiences you have relevant to the subject! I'll be inviting the speakers to join us here in the discussion both leading up to the webinar as well as for a post-webinar Q/A.

The December Blackbaud Grantmaking Thought Leadership Webinar is:

The Path to Centering the Applicant Experience
Thursday, December 7 at 11:00 a.m. ET (Registration here, click on the banner)

As funders, you are looking at your applications differently than you were a few years ago. You are walking the fine line between a comprehensive application that helps you make quality decisions and one that takes your grantees tens of hours to complete. At Blackbaud, we knew it was time to take a hard look at our applicant portal as well.

As we modernized our applicant and grantee experience, it was imperative to us to reach out directly with those writing and completing grant applications to understand their day-to-day, and gain insight into their needs and their challenges. That initial discovery was only the beginning. We'll share what we learned, how it's affecting development, and how it's inspired us to be a better partner for funders and applicants.
