Pre-Posting to General Ledger

Hi!

I was pre-posting to my general ledger and I had the run the general ledger pre-posting report checked. However, I had the post to the financial edge checked on accident. Does that cause a problem with Financial Edge? Or is it okay because I had the pre-posting checked?

@Emily Russell If you have Run the General Ledger pre-posting report selected then when you ran your report nothing will have posted to the GL in Financial Edge. However, if you have the second option selected, Post Gifts to the Financial Edge, then you would have created a journal entry.

That photo is actually what I did. So you are saying that it won't effect Financial Edge?

@Emily Russell Running the pre-posting report won't impact Financial Edge. If you select Post Gifts to the Financial Edge, you'll see the Pre-Post Report button in the bottom right corner change to Post Now. It is only when you click Post Now that the activity be sent to Financial Edge.
