Using Diploma with Course Requests to help advisors/managers with review/approval process.

I am working with a school that requires advisors to approve course requests for their advisees. Part of this process is making sure that the students are on track with their graduation requirements and that their requests align appropriately. I thought about having them set up the Diploma feature and granting the advisor role access to view for their advisees. I set up a test scenario and provided a visual below.

Assuming Diploma is set up correctly and that historical/transfer grades are associated to the correct equivalent courses, I believe this is a good solution. It looks like advisees would still need to toggle back and forth between the Requirements tab and Course Requests tab, since Requirements doesn't include any course requests data. Has anyone ever done this before and willing to provide any feedback? Or are there any limitations with the Diploma feature that should be considered in this scenario? Thank you in advance!
