T-Mobile Users no longer receiving texts (Feb 2024)

Is anyone else finding that their T-Mobile users are no longer able to receive texts? We had several users who were subscribed and previously receiving texts, and then in the first week of February, suddenly were not receiving texts anymore.

If any of them tried to re-subscribe, they were not able to receive the authentication text with the 6-digit code to register their mobile device. I tried this with a few other staff members who were also T-Mobile, and they were unable to sign up as well.

I heard that T-Mobile was upping their spam prevention/filters this month, so I'm wondering if that's the problem. Has anyone else run into this issue? This will be a big deal for our parents if they can't receive any texts at all :/

  • @Lindsay Hurley Yes. My school is also experiencing this issue. I have contacted T-Mobile's engineering team and am in contact with a very responsive rep. They are looking into the issue, and I'll happily update you on what information I receive from them.

  • @Danielle Peterson Hi Danielle! Have you heard any updates from T-Mobile? I'm in communication with our school's Blackbaud rep about it, but it seems like Blackbaud wasn't aware of this yet. I'm curious to know if T-Mobile has given you any info on whether or not they're making any changes to correct this.
