GDPR Training UK

Hi all
I have been using RE as a Database Manager now for around 25 years!! However I had a 5 year gap at a rather crucial stage, between 2014 & 2019 and I feel I really some training on GDPR in order to provide the most up-to-date kind of Data protection and management at the small charity I currently work for. Does anyone know of any they can recommend? I can't find any that Blackbaud provide. Essentially free or as cheap as possible but I think I can get some budget for it!

The organisation I work for has it's own in-house training program since all of the staff need to be aware of GDPR to some level (the fundraising and marketing teams get to do a more in-depth one than some of our other colleagues for example) so I'm not really aware of resources elsewhere- but the ICO does offer some training videos that might be helpful and can be found here. All of their guidance is in fairly straightforward language, so it could be worth checking it out when you have some time.

Something to be aware of, and to look out for guidance on from ICO on in the future, is that the Data Protection and Digital Information Bill is currently working its way through the House of Lords and will probably mean some changes to how we approach Data Protection (though I've not got much idea what what those are at this stage).

Hopefully the ICO's resources can be of some use for you Emily.
