Recurring Gift Workflow to send confirmation email

We have changed to RE NXT and love the workflows. Has anyone set up a workflow to automatically send out a thank you email once a recurring gift has been made? We are stumbling as workflows are triggered by actions or email. Any help would be great.

RE NXT Workflow is limited, as you already use and aware, the next level work flow will have to be done outside and you can read up on this here and see if it is something you want to tackle:

Thanks so much @Alex Wong. I was hopeful that we would not have to go back into the developer mode. Though MS Power is an easier WYSIWYG platform than most. Thanks for the reminder.
