Assigned time and due time

Is there a way to change the times in the dropdown menu when teachers select a date and time for assignments when they are assigned and due? Specifically, we are wondering if we can place the school's beginning and ending times for each of our class periods in the dropdown menu.

Hi @Lisa Baylor -

Yes! There is a way.

If your school has enabled the new assignment experience, you can set global default Assigned and Due times. If your school has not yet enabled the new assignment experience, then you can only configure default Assigned times for now.

You can access these settings from Academics > Grades > Grading setup > Assignment settings, or New assignment settings (If you have the new assignment experience turned on)

Whoops, apologies @Lisa Baylor - I think I misread your ask.

The global settings that I explained below are set for the whole school and are not linked to the schedule. If you are looking to have those default values linked to the class's block, that would be a great suggestion for our Ideas Portal. I think I've found one that talks to the kind of function you're looking for and I'll link it below.

@Michael Morrissette thank you. Your instructions were perfect. I did not know where that was. However, this doesn't exactly serve what the teachers would like. They would like the menu of times to be preset per period of our school day so that can just select it and not have to select the hour and type in the minutes for each class period for every assignment.
