Course Request- First Time!

Hello, We are implementing the course request feature for the first time this spring. I have taken a training course and read all the info I can find, but I still have one question. Course requests happen in April before I promote students so what happens the all the grade level requirements I have in place for each course? How will a rising 11th grade student select an elective that is for 11th and 12th grade only if they are still technically a 10th grader? Thanks!

@Catherine Druhan When we enroll students for the first time in school all future registration years are added to their record. We also use the course request system, which looks at the next register year and grade level for the student to determine if they are meeting the requirements we put in place on the courses. This does not require the student to already be promoted to the next grade level.
