How To Set Up Days School Is Closed

How do I set up the days our school is closed? For example, during Spring Break, my son's class schedule is still populating into my calendar even though school is closed. How do I designate those days? Is it part of the special days calendar?

  • @Jennifer Miller - You can cancel classes via the Daily Schedule Calendar

Academics > Scheduling > Daily schedule calendar

Select Edit in the top right of the day you would like to change your schedule (you can reorder when classes meet, change the length of classes, or cancel classes) and enter the changes.

Two things of which you need to be aware:

    1. If attendance is already entered for that day, you cannot make changes to the schedule
    2. If you have a rotating schedule, you need to determine if you are skipping the day or bumping the day.

    Hope that helps.

    Thanks, Scott. It does help.

I was able to go into the Master Schedule and change Monday, Apr 8th to a PD day. I told it to edit all schedule sets and no classes (skip).

It's been some time since I did this. When I go into Parent view, the courses are still listed for Monday. Any idea what step I might be missing?

  • @Jennifer Miller - It could be one of two things. Did you “Save & Exit” when you finished the edits? I have missed this a couple of times if I am interrupted while doing this. The other possibility is if you have multiple divisions with different schedule sets, you need to update the schedule as appropriate for each division.

Thank you. I had missed the dropdown at the top to change it for each division. It would be nice if BB added an ‘All Divisions’ option.
