Forms For Students to Access At-Will

How is your school managing forms that students may need access to continuously or multiple times?

For example, if I want to create a transcript request form. I want students to be able to access the form at any time, and make multiple submissions. Is it just a matter of changing the dates so the form is accessible for the full school year? And if they complete it multiple times, will it replace itself in their records or will it add a second version? How would students get access to that form? I can envision a resource board with a link to the form, but I don't see how that is possible using School Forms. Would this need to continue to be a Google Form instead?

Thanks for any advice/thoughts/tips and feedback on how your school handles forms that are not part of the Back-To-School / New Student process.

  • @Jennifer Miller we use custom forms (School Website module). These forms are for data collection only. They can be submitted multiple times - we put a link to the form page in our Student's Resource button on the Resource Board

  • Hi, @Jennifer Miller. We use School Website > Events > Registration Forms & Attendees to accomplish this. I'm not sure if that is different from the customized forms that others have referenced or not, but each of our forms is a generic webform that gives you a URL that you can publish wherever. We do currently have one for students to request a transcript. Much like a Google form or Microsoft Forms, it collects the information into a spreadsheet format, and it also sends the information to the email of a staff member responsible for fulfilling the request.
