Optimized Donation Form Pre-Selected Amount

We are trying out the new optimized donation form and are wondering if the $150 is a set amount for each transaction to begin at - obviously people are able to select from the varying amounts or type in their own amount - but can that $150 be changed? TIA

    @Maddie Harvala The default amount/prepopulated amount on an optimized form is a calculation that will take the second ask amount (the most commonly selected one) and slightly increase it.

    While you can't change this default amount today, you can adjust the low/high amounts in the form configuration to adjust what you are seeing up or down.

    I recently showed my new boss the new optimized donation form and he really liked it and would rather use it over the GiveCampus form, but there are two things that are preventing this:

    • Why can we not manually add in our own giving amounts on the backend of the form? Gift range seems limited….
    • And this second question ties into the first – since the amounts are automatically generated by a range – my boss does not like that a random amount appears in the box. He thinks it could scare donors away as the box is not labeled as ‘other’. Could that be coded in either on top or below the field?

    Hi Samantha,

    The form is doing a really weird thing, where the amounts flip from smallest to largest if you refresh the page. If you keep refreshing the page over and over, you can see the amounts flip back and forth…any idea why?

    @Tyler Johnson

    Hi Tyler,
    Good eyes! We're currently running an A/B test on ask ladder direction (low to high vs high to low) to see how it may impact average gift amounts. 50% of visitors are seeing each version, we expect this test to be running for the next week or two.
