Importing Volunteers

We have a large amount of volunteer data in CSV format that we would like to bring into Altru. The SKY API is not an option at the moment and we do not want to set up the SOAP API for this purpose alone. We plan to batch import constituent and timesheet data but it appears there is no way to import any of the volunteer-specific fields.

I am fairly certain that the answer is no (without a third-party solution or the SKY API) but I would be happy to be wrong…

    Sorry I missed this!

    I did not find anything – but I have searched all available Blackbaud resources and even the web and it seems as though the Volunteer module is not as widely used as some of the other areas of Altru.

    We are beginning our implementation with only active volunteers so we will be hiring a consultant to do the data entry within the Volunteer module.

    Hopefully by the time we are ready to put in the rest of the data we will have found a solution or we will be able to use the SKY API to bring in the data.
