NCOA

We are looking to do our first NCOA and was wondering if I should do this thru NXT or the database version? Any input would be greatly appreciated. Looking for pros and cons.

I suggest reading some of these past posts:

@Shannon Smith I have done it thru both and currently at our organization we do it thru RE NXT and it is set to automatically run every 3 months and I have no issues with it.

@Shannon Smith I also have it set to run quarterly via NXT and it is great. I usually export the lost and moved records into a database view query to review in greater detail or make adjustments where needed to the record, i.e. address type, remove solicit flags.

I am less familiar with the settings to do this in webview. In database view, I like that I can set it to only process records from a certain dynamic query, because we don't want the NCOA to run on certain demographics (college students, priests, and military personnel) that are highly mobile and may move frequently. I also like that I can review the list and import, rather than automatically downloading everything.

In NXT, you can pull from a List, which is great and allows some segmentation, but it's not as specific in filters as Query, so it is harder to pull out constituents by title, for example. We would have to code these constituents with a special attribute or solicit code to prevent them pulling.
