Electronic Transcript Georgia Schools Help!

Hi All,


Our registrar ran the electronic transcripts and uploaded them after the first semester to Georgia Student Finance Commission for Hope Scholarships and everything passed.

This week they are failing due to these orange arrows which from what I read is an extra "tab". She has attempted to remove the tab in Sublime text editor and resubmit, but they failed again. I have a case in with Blackbaud, but hoping we can fix this in text editor and get these transcripts to pass in the meantime.

We have yet to have a year that goes smoothly with these transcripts and we've been using the “On” products since 2014-15. Every year there is a different issue.

  • @Josceline Reardon I always edit first in excel. I find it easier to see the issue and make corrections there. From excel I open it in TextEdit to remove the " if there are any. Have you tried using excel to fix the tabs? I haven't had that issue, but I am about to send off the seniors today, so I will let you know if I have the same issue.

  • @Candi Roberts thank you! Our registrar uses a MAC, so today we tried using a PC and uploaded a new set. We will see what happens. Do you use a MAC or PC? We've had issues in the past with the MAC.

  • @Josceline Reardon my senior transcripts processed with no errors (first time!!). So I didn't have the issue you had. It seems likely to me that it was an issue with editing. I had a LOT of " that had to be deleted in TextEdit this time. I wonder if that is what caused it for you guys.

  • @Josceline Reardon I hope your second attempt worked. If not, one more issue we had is copying A-E, for example, to a spreadsheet to load all of them. The registrar at our other campus copied more than the one column and, even though the other columns are blank, it created spaces that we couldn't see except from what GAFutures showed us. We finally figured out that was what caused the issue when I watched her in each step of the process.

    We were able to get A-F to go through on Friday. I switched to a PC. Going to try the rest today. Have a great week!
