Will web view be adding the social security field that is in the database view?
@Briget McAninch I'm not aware of any plans to move this field over. My organization has repurposed this field for other information than SSN, but we also have made it an alias because of availability in NXT and issues exporting the field.
@Briget McAninchI doubt Blackbaud is going to expose PII information such as SSN on the webview, even if they do it, it will likely not be the full number, but last 4 digits.
Dariel: I don't know if it's a good idea for you to utilize alias to put such sensitive PII Info. this is a cybersecurity risk in my opinion.
@Alex Wong: Oh, it's not PII in that field at all, but some internal fields. We repurposed it due to it's high visibility in DB view. I don't think that PII should be stored in Blackbaud for the reasons you stated, but if you do you better have a really good reason. The field is supposedly encrypted, but still, I wouldn't do it.
