Creating email (HTML) and sending email in Raiser's Edge NXT

Hi, we are currently being formed in Raiser's Edge NXT because we are going to start to use it in septembre. Currently, for creating email HTML we use Mailchimp. I have been following a class in Blackbaud University on creating and sending email with NXT, and I find that they are way less options et flexibility in NXT than Mailchimp. (ex. : preview text, visuel option for social media icons, for CTA button, etc.)

Can anyone confirm that it offers, in fact, less options? How do you manage to still use it then? Even the statistics seem less detailed.

@Karine LemireDemers I think the basic functionality of RE NXT email is fairly standard, but there definitely are things that you can do with Mailchimp that you can't do with the RE NXT tool. I haven't used Mailchimp in about a year, but it absolutely had more unsubscribe options for one.

@Karine LemireDemers. This is a common complaint. The two apps available for connecting MailChimp to RE are prohibitively expensive. We've given up on having modern looking emails until we're ready to sacrifice the data and take it fully out of RE. … sorry

@Karine LemireDemers My answer is probably discouraging, but we don't use NXT email functionality because it is too limiting for my organization. Many organizations feel similarly. We do use Omatic Cloud to manage unsubscribes, but there are some really good implementations that are great for displaying MailChimp activity.

@Crystal Morgan could you please let me know what kind of emails you are trying to send with NXT? Are you trying to compose acknowledgement emails?
