RENXT auto creating a task for one record after adding an action to another

Is there a way to add an action into one constituent and then tag another constituent in the action so you don’t have to copy and paste the second action as a task?

For example: I want to add an action tied to an opportunity in a trust record, but then also need to add the contact in their constituent record as a task. If we had the ability to just list it once, but tag two records, it would be fantastic.

@Tyler Wilcox Because of the way the actions nest into constituent records, I'm not sure that there's a way to do that. Theoretically, you can export them out an import an exact copy and I would imagine that there might be a way to do a Power Automate flow if you can build a set rule around the copy, but I don't think there's anyway to do what you're looking to do without one of those options.

@Tyler Wilcox YES! When I add actions that apply to multiple records, I add all the details of the action and then on the sidebar options, where you can add attachments, the last option is "Copy To." There, you can search for the records that you need to add the action to and whether or not you want to include any attachments. Once you hit save, the action will display on the record you initially added it to along with anyone you copied it to. I used to double check all the records when I started using that tool just to be sure, but it hasn't failed me yet.

You can do the same with actions you've already saved. Just open the action and select “Copy to” and then search the additional records you want to add that action to.

@Autumn Mella worked great for me, thanks! I've typically done imports when marking actions on a large number of constituents.

@Tyler Wilcox same! I still use the import function for bulk actions, but this has been a time saver for the 1-off emails and notes that I get from my fundraisers.

Have you tried the Blackbaud for Outlook widget yet? Highly recommend! I just rolled it out for my FR team and they're so happy to be able to add their emails to the respective RENXT record in real time without having to leave outlook. It's been a time-saver for them.
