Change in Constituent Summary tile
Has anyone else noticed there was a change in the constituent summary tile? I can't seem to figure out exactly what the change is but our entire team noticed it as well. The information looks different where personal info and name formats were. We also noticed some missing information and changes to a few records that should not have happened. This is so crazy.

@Jolynn Uyehara
What I can tell from our data is that fields and data from the Bio2 tab now show up that wasn't there before.2 -
@Jolynn Uyehara it seems to be in a different order

@Jesse Calagna @Rosalyn Galloway Thank you for your responses. I should have clarified that the change I see is in the webview. The database view looks the same. Are you noticing any changes in the webview? Appreciate your feedback! ?

@Jolynn Uyehara. I was looking at webview.

@Jolynn Uyehara yes, I had noticed the additions from the Bio2 tab in web view earlier this week, as well. I also noticed they renamed a couple of the fields and shifted the salutations to the right in the tile.
I am always excited when more is added to web view but am frustrated by the field name changes, especially here at my org where they are so used to using DB view.

@Jolynn Uyehara mine is referring to webview

@Jolynn Uyehara Yes, gift officer noticed changes right away.
We also found it's the fields from Bio 2. What's funny but an issue for us is that we repurposed and renamed the Religion and Target fields in db view. Data listed under those field names now in web view is pretty odd as has nothing to do with religion. LOL
Hope they will add ability to carry over repurposed names or give ability to rename in web view.

@Jolynn Uyehara I find it interesting it was not included in the “What's New” update at all. I love when they make changes to things and don't let you know about it!
@JoAnn Strommen definitely agree with you there! If they are adding in fields to generally viewable areas, we need to be able to 1. know about it and 2. be able to adjust them just like they are in database view so they can make sense across the organization.

@Lee Grisham I noticed the changes happened right around the time of the issues with the actions tile. ?
What's even more hilarious is that the info in Bio/Org 2 can't be edited in web view. It's display only currently. Perhaps they will add it to the What's New once they finish and allow edits to that data.

@Miki Martin I'm glad I'm not the only one. I reached out to support and they don't know what I'm talking about. ?
1 -
@JoAnn Strommen Thank you. I'm glad to hear it's not just me. My gosh, even support didn't know what I was referring to. I hope they get this fixed. ?

@Lee Grisham totally agree! I knew nothing about it. It looked fine in the morning then all of a sudden it changed! The crazier thing was support had no clue what I was talking about. ?

I did notice the additional fields and got excited for a moment that another thing on that tile that bothers might have been fixed… sadly not yet:

The field labels for name format are on the left and dark grey. The field label for Aliases is on the RIGHT and in BLACK.

Hi everyone! I noticed this discussion and I hope you don't mind me commenting as well.
You are correct that we are indeed adding more information to Raiser's Edge NXT web view, particularly around fields on the Bio2/Org2 tabs that were previously missing. We are continuing this work and shortly, you will be able to edit this information too but temporarily this is read only. No fields have been removed and we had to make some changes to the layout to accommodate the additional information. As you have all noticed, Name formats used to be on the left hand side for Primary Name Formats and right hand side for Other Name Formats. We have brought these together as one Name Formats section whilst also adding the Bio2 fields.
As Rachel noted, the Alias / Known Name label and value are the wrong way round. This is being worked on and should be released tomorrow. We are always interested in your feedback so please do let us know your thoughts as we evolve web view and add more features to it.

@Chris Ager thank you for this helpful information. I use the friendly salutations for my acknowledgement letters. Will this change affect that at all?
0 -
Hi @Jolynn Uyehara - it will absolutely not affect acknowledgements. That will work the same way as it did before this change. We are building lots of improvements across web view through this year and next year.

@Chris Ager
Thanks Chris! Great news that the Alias field has been sorted out

@Chris Ager In database view, we have the ability to rename and/or hide these fields, which our organization has done. Those changes have not carried over to web view. Is that functionality coming? Specifically, I don't want this to become editable prior to us being able to hide fields that our organization does not use because I don't want staff starting to enter data in those fields.

@Chris Ager, I understand that you are making adjustments, but why did you have to reduce the number of recent searches to 5? Having access to the last 10 or so searches was always very helpful, but 5 is way too few.
Should we be expecting these random changes/updates more regularly than a set of patches. I'm not even seeing a schedule of when I can expect these updates, or even a set of patch notes anywhere. I'd like to be able to prep my team on any changes, because not everyone handles these types of changes well.

@Devan Caton I just recently read a long post by BB staff Jarod Bonino regarding this in idea bank for RE NXT - RENXT-I-222 Abililty to change field names (Display As) January 2019
I don't want to put words in his mouth but might be a place to add comments/votes.
1 -
Thanks, @JoAnn Strommen! I voted on that idea ages ago, but it does seem like some new comments might be valuable. I'll add to it!
2 -
Someone has also just recently added this idea, which is specifically about hiding fields in the web view like you can in database view. Please vote!

@Devan Caton Sorry I missed your post - this is on our roadmap along with other configuration features. We are starting with filling in the missing constituent information first and will be moving onto this afterwards. I appreciate your feedback and your patience whilst we work on this

@Dariel Dixon I know we connected on your question but just answering here for everyone's benefit. The number of values shown in onmibar searches is something I am going to investigate as part of planning enhancements to RENXT search.
