RSVP Form Decline RSVP and email options

I see there is an option in the RSVP form to allow people to decline/say no when RSVP'ing but when I tested this it still sent me the confirmation email which looks like the person said ‘yes’ - thanks for registering, etc. is there a way to stop this email from going out to people who decline/don't really RSVP?

@Joanne Felci We don't currently offer the ability to turn confirmation emails off for declines.

When we released this functionality we made the email confirmation default text more general to account for the "I cannot attend option".

The default text within the email now looks like this:

The default email subject still says "Thank you for registering", but you can edit it to something like:

• "<Event Name> Submission Confirmation"
• "RSVP Confirmation: Your Response Received"
• "<Event Name> Confirmation"

If your form was created before the decline option was released, then it wasn't updated with our default text, but you can edit it to match what I've shared or to verbiage that better meets your needs.

In the future we will consider providing multiple confirmation emails, but it's not currently on the roadmap. Please vote for the idea, so we can keep you updated: https://renxt.ideas.aha.io/ideas/RENXT-I-6788

rather than a second email option for declined registrants, would it not be easier to have a checkbox in the email set up to just not include declining regsitrants, they don't need an email at all?

@Rebecca Tuszynski thank you for the idea! That may be a possibility for those RSVPing No and not giving a donation, but those making a donation would still need an email confirmation.

It would be great to be able to segment the confirmation emails! Unfortunately, we now need to use a catch-all confirmation. You can change the language to thank them for their support instead.
