Automatic update for First Gift by Month (any year)

Hello! We have a 1st Time donor stewardship program. I built a query to show a list of donors who made their first gift this time last year. Is there a way to set the query to update based on the current month we are in without having to go into the database every month to update the query? For example, for a constituent's birthday we can set a criteria for This month (any year) and it will pull any constituent who has a birthday in the current month. Does first gift date have something similar to the birth day criteria?

@Damian Doolittle If you are working in RE NXT with Lists (constituent), you should be able to do this with First Gift “this month” and it will update each month. Same as the Birth Date scenario.

@Damian Doolittle Like @Joe Moretti stated, you can use a first gift date = “This month” in both database view and webview. You will have to add first gift as a filter before it is available though, as it is not there by default. If you based your list from a static query, there are some ways to make sure that your query refreshes so that your list is up to date.

  • @Joe Moretti Thank you!! Anyway to do this in the database? We use BBNC for sending out these emails and pulling the records from a query make the process simple for us.

@Damian Doolittle As Dariel state, yes, this can also be done in Database View.
