Activating a constituent

In our previous database in order to activate a donor, we would have to add a constituent code and add a mailcode. I know we have to add the cons code in RE but is there a mailcode to add/activate? Or are they considered active unless the inactive box is checked?

@Julie games I've never heard of a need to ‘activate a constituent’. Yes, any record not marked as ‘inactive’ would be considered active to the best of my knowledge.

@Julie games, another reason a mail code would be needed is if your organization had that set up as a business rule (required field). Otherwise, unless they're not marked inactive as you already mentioned, then they would be considered active.
