Azure AI and CRM database; who is exploring these opportunities?

Which orgs and teams are exploring Azure AI functionality with a focus on integration with your CRM database? I've got some neat ideas for chatbots, reporting, prospect segmentation, interaction/constituent history/profiles, possibly natural language querying of the database but I'm stuck trying to determine how to vectorize (create embeddings) for a highly normalized database. Are folks looking at BBDW or some type of ETL that will convert highly normalized data into a more aggregated, verbose format for vectorization? I'd love to hear from others and determine who is making moves in this direction. I am also really curious how folks who are in Blackbaud Azure are managing an Azure adjacent posture (where your CRM database is in BB managed services and you'd like to build using Azure AI services outside BB managed services).

  • @Wesley Waters - We have started down this road a little bit now but we are using Google instead of Azure since we have a contract with them. We are using it to create summaries of the interactions that we have in the database. I was not the one who worked on this project but I think we are just passing in all of the interactions that we have into the prompt. I could check and make sure if you would like me to.
