Event Registration and Check Ins

Hi Everybody!

We are hosting a gigantic Open House (500 registrations). The best way to keep track of them is use the Check In function in the event builder. But, we are using staff from outside of our team so they don't have the EM permissions to be able to check in visitors. Is there a way to share this event with our staff so that they can check in visitors as well? Maybe a publishing option or something?

Our other option is exporting to Sheets, checking in people, and then going back and changing the attendance record in blackbaud which worked last year but was a lot of added time.

Hi @Kate Scott! There's not a way to share the event with non-admissions users. What I've seen some schools do is create a general “events” user and log that user into a tablet or laptop that the folks helping you can use to check the attendees in. If you're logging them in, they never need to know the password and you can even delete the user after. Hopefully something like that could be an option for you!
