How can teachers/advisors/students/families see academic history?

This is our first year using Blackbaud. During implementation, our trainer completed the Historical Grade Input, which places all of the grades in as ‘transfer’ grades. How can I allow people to see those grades?

Blackbaud suggested I give everyone the academic manager role, which obviously is not a good idea because they only need to view them, not be able to change them for their student or anyone else.

We haven't posted our first report cards yet, but I am wondering if there is a workaround using report cards. Is it possible to generate previous report cards based on the information in the HGI? If I give users access to those, will they be able to see everything on the academic profile?

We use transfer grades for summer courses on our transcripts. However, we are using the old transcript buider. I think that can do the trick for you.

Transfer grades are only going to be visible on Report Cards or Transcripts. You could publish your transcripts now to the role that you want. Under edit access you can select the grade plan, role and date to give access. The roles are Students, Parents, All school teachers, Teachers, Advisors, Dorm supervisors, Staff and Everyone Else (not sure about that one). This might work for you.
