Deleting a comment

I have a teacher who wrote a comment on a student in a wrong field. How do I delete the comment. I took out all the text but the comment isn't switching it's status to empty. I just want to make sure that when we send out comments this student doesn't have a blank comment in their report. Best, Rich

  • @Richard Pan Can you be more specific about the type and location of the comment? Are you referring to a comment on a report card? Or in a gradebook (tied to an assignment)?

  • @Richard Pan This is how I remove comments (assuming you have the Grading Manager role):

    • Go to Grades > Grading Management > Enter Grades by Student
    • Search for the student then click View
    • Next to “Grades & Credits”, click View
    • On the next screen, click Edit to switch into edit mode.
    • Go to the term and class that has the comment and click on the small icon that looks like a paper/document. This should open up a new editable window that contains the comment text.
    • Clear out the text then click the Save icon; that should remove the comment text and return you to View mode. (You'll need to click Edit again if you want to make any additional changes.)
