Tracking Opportunities with Multiple / Split Funds

Looking for ideas! Our organization receives a number of grants that support different initiatives but are rolled into the same grant. These grants are recorded accurately as pledges and payments with split fund distribution. We plan to use Opportunities to track our solicitations but we need to be able to track multiple funds on the same Opportunity. I'm wondering how others are entering Opportunities with multiple or split designations. Has anyone used Purpose to solve this?

@Clarissa Rice Hampton I would love a feature like this as well. Currently, we enter multiple opportunities. Early on in the opportunity process (when they are still in discovery phase) we do have a purpose that handles this - primarily for our campaign as we are in a comprehensive campaign. As we move to the solicitation strategy if we plan to ask for multiple funds that is when we split into multiple opportunities.

Funny, I have zero interest in split gifts, but split opportunities would be fantastic!
