Anyone using SMS text messaging to engage with Admissions Candidates?

We currently send official notes to candidates as the main way of communicating with them. In the official note notification setup, you can configure an email message that goes out to the candidate (candidate parent) to alert them of the official note and even include the contents. Am I correct that there is no way to send these notifications out via SMS Text Message like elsewhere in K12? We have so many more candidates that seem to prefer text message back and forth communication with us rather than email. Has anyone come up with an elegant solution for that?
