Hello any fellow Canadian BBCRM Clients.

Do any of my fellow Canucks have advise on how to handle the receipting process in BBCRM given the recent Revenue Canada decision to extend the charitable donation period for 2024 to the end of February 2025 due to the Canada Post labour disruption?

    Guess it doesn't matter now since the PM resigned and prorogued parliament so this legislation I guess will not go through.

    Is this confusing anybody's donors? As in some still expect to be able to donate for the 2024 tax season in 2025?

    Yep, everyone is pretty confused. The Canadian Council for Christian Charities says “it's not happening”, and Imagine Canada says “it's a done deal”. (Or that is how I understood their posts.)

    We're waiting to hear more from the government and in the mean time, starting the regular receipting process. We may then have to do a second run….but maybe not!
