New Grading - Bulk Editing

Some of our teachers have been confused by the checkboxes next to each item when bulk editing. Those unlabeled boxes are directly underneath the “Ready for review” checkbox at the top of the page, so people assume that is their purpose. Left unchecked, the item is not saved. It might be helpful to move the “Ready for review” checkbox to the right side of the page and instruct users to check off each item for bulk editing.

This is with regard to bulk editing. In the Bulk Editing dialog, the checkbox to the left of each item marks it for bulk editing, not for Ready for Review. But those boxes are not labeled and are directly below the Ready for Review checkbox at the top of the dialog, so several users have assumed they are Ready for Review boxes. Left unchecked, the item is not updated when the Bulk Editng dialog is saved.

Hi @Ced Paine -

I have good news for you! In the very, very near future we have an enhancement deploying that will automatically mark that checkbox for teachers given they have entered value for a specific skill (In our next Tuesday release). We found teachers are glossing over that checkbox entirely and thinking the Bulk Edit tool isn't working when they click to update skills. Hopefully this enhancement helps prevent this mistake and saves our teachers a click when they're grading assessment skills!
