Automation Inquiry: Automating Gift Attachments

Our team recently moved from RE7 to RE NXT. We were previously using Papersave for all of our backup documentation. Current state, we save the back up to Sharepoint and then upload the documentation directly to the Gift record in RE NXT webview. This process has been clunky and inefficient for our team. I am curious if any of the automaters out there have experimented with attachment automation. Is it theoretically possible to have a process that would pick up the backup from Sharepoint, match it to the gift by ID in the name, and attach it to the gift record automatically through PowerAutomate?

@Caitlin James Yes! There is a PA flow for something like this in the SKY Developer forum. I can't remember which flow it was, but we uses something similar for our acknowledgement letters. You may need to play with the logic of matching the gift ID or a slightly tweaked naming convention to have everything work correctly…

@Caitlin James, I haven't seen a ready-made Power Automate template that automatically attaches SharePoint files to gifts in RE NXT. However, the approach I think would be to save scanned documents to a SharePoint folder with a naming convention for the gift, then use a flow to call the “CreateGiftAttachment” action to attach the file to the correct gift by its ID​.
