Creating Addressee and Salutations when adding a new constituent record

Hi.

When we started to use RE 7 years ago we set up the configuration for addressee and salutations so that they would be added automatically when a new constituent record is created. It worked flawlessly until just recently. Now when we create a new record, we get this error message:

I contacted support and they could not help us. Looking for a solution to be able to have addressee and salutations added automatically again before we start to add new graduates. Not sure if this issue started to occur after an update.

@Mark Bezanson Can you share a bit more about what you are experiencing?

When you go to add the new constituent is this the first thing you see?

Or do you only see it when you move say from Bio1 to Bio 2 and it asks you to save the record? If this is the case, you should be able to add the Primary addressee, save the record and keep going.

A couple of other thoughts. If you are able to get to the point of entering information about the new constituent, maybe consider a default set that can be the first thing you do. The default set could just be to add the basic addressee/salutation template so you could move forward adding additional information.

Not sure how you are adding these records, but if you are using an import, consider adding an addressee/salutation id for primary addressee for all the records so you have something entered. Guide for finding those ids can be found here:
