Forms and Checklists

Product Suggestion: as of now, when parents log into Blackbaud, they will SEPARATE indicators for “Forms to Review” and “Checklists to Review". The problem is in between the two:

  1. Forms appear in “forms” and in the checklist,
  2. Individual forms will appear as a count in the “forms” list (and on the detail list), but not in the checklist.

It's clear that the Checklist is meant to be one single block of to-do items, but for parents who are completing forms, having an item they must do that's NOT in the checklist is confusing. Because it should be, right? It's something that needs to be done!

Why would an item not be in the checklist? Because the current BB checklists don't allow for conditional items. We have a form that only goes to certain parents, so we can't put it in the checklist which goes to all or all new parents. Thus, it's just an individually assigned form, leading to the problem above.

SUGGESTION: Adjust the terminology to “To Do list” and have it be a single page which shows the checklist AND outstanding forms. Reasonable Web design should easily accommodate both lists on one page.

SUGGESTION #2: Have a single To Do list which actually merges the Forms and Check list items. So from the parents' side, they only see ONE list of things requiring their attention. Simpler, and easier to understand. :-)

  • @Peter Hoopes Yes AND… when assigning a checklist which includes forms and other steps (i.e., uploadin a document), the forms WILL show in forms to review but only after the parent has opened/started that form from the checklist.
    Checklists are seriously flawed!
