Where is the Insight that provides date of gift field?

I can't find a ready-made Insight providing Date of Gift. I would simply like an Insight that gives a list containing Donor name, Date of Gift, and Amount of gift. I can't find a ready-made Insight, and I don't seem to be able to create a custom one containing this basic info. I want to be able to add this insight to various Dashboard reports I've created.

@Diana Gray it sounds like you're wanting a gift list in a dashboard. Do I understand that correctly? In web view I have not seen how that can be done natively. There may be a way with PowerBI or something (haven't had opportunity to learn those skills). However, if you use the Fund Performance insight and click on the dollar amount that will give you a pop-up of a gift list based on any page and/or insight filters you have. You can set the insight to filter on certain funds (or you could use the Campaign performance one). Would that help?

@Miki Martin Hi Mikki! Thank you for your suggestion. The Fund performance drill-down is a cool feature. However, I do need a simple Insight showing donor name, date of gift, and amount of gift. With this insight, we could filter based on the funds / campaigns / appeals that my dashboard is reporting on. It's funny that we can create a list with name and amount, but date of gift is nowhere to be found!

I'm not quite understanding what you are trying to do with “Date of Gift”.

A simple gift list will give you those columns you want and various filter option. What is missing from gift list that you can't currently do?

Gift list is not “insight” that can be added to a “dashboard”.

@Alex Wong Thank you, Alex. Unfortunately, that Gift list is not available via an insight in Dashboard Builder. Just a simple insight allowing for a filter-able list showing gift date, name, and amount would be so nice to have access to in the Dashboard Builder.

@Diana Gray Agreed! I am making dashboards for my fundraisers and top 20 gifts and top 20 donors is the number 1 request. While it can be created in lists, standard reports, and query, the point of a dashboard is to have what a fundraiser wants at their fingertips and not need to send them elsewhere. At certain point, too many workarounds sends everyone back to their individual excel spreadsheets and then why are we paying so much to Blackbaud?

I see what you mean. Since I do not use Insight Designer as it has much limitation for our org's specific use-case, I create custom report via SKY API and Power BI.

Though I do find it odd that you are saying you can't get gift date (such an important piece of info about a gift) in reports within insight designer, I will see if i can find sometime to check it out and report back.
