Security settings for new event registrant form

Hi all, hopefully someone can help - we've had a bit of an issue with team members creating new registrants as organisations rather than individuals and it turns out that it's because they can't see the option to add an individual - they only get the option to select either an org or a household (and another form doesn't even give them those options, just takes them straight to the new org form).

I'm trying to find the security setting that'll add “add individual” to their options but not having much luck. Can anyone guide me in the right direction please?

This is what I see as an admin:

And this is what our non-admin users are seeing:

  • @Alan French Check the permissions on the “Individual Record Add Data Form”. This is the form that is referenced in the XML for the Registrant Unified Add Form on my system.

For those that want to know how I found it, I did the following:

Navigate to the event registrants tab.

    Enter design mode.

Right click on the Add Registrant button and select view XML

Locate the form field for CONSTITUENTID:

    fe1de0d15e28d7da355a270d0864295b-huge-im

In the form field definition find the SearchList element. This will give the ID for the search list used (Constituent Search on my box) and the associated add data forms.

ID 6949e415-6cd0-4af5-be9f-acebd318f478 is the “Individual Record Add Data Form”.

    Navigate to Administration > Application

In the Features section, select Data Form Search.

Search for anything (I searched for individual, but it doesn't matter) and selected the first one.

This opens the "Data Form Instance" page for that form.

Replaced the recordid in the url with the guid above to go to that form's page.

If you have the ability to run sql, you can also run

    select templatename
    from DATAFORMTEMPLATECATALOG
    inner join DATAFORMINSTANCECATALOG ON DATAFORMINSTANCECATALOG.DATAFORMTEMPLATECATALOGID = DATAFORMTEMPLATECATALOG.ID
    and DATAFORMINSTANCECATALOG.ID = '6949e415-6cd0-4af5-be9f-acebd318f478'

  • @Jay Trussell thank you so much, would never have found that by myself!
