Naming Consistencies and Misc. Bugs

While navigating Raiser's Edge recently, I noticed a few things:

1. Fundraising Dashboards: It says ‘Reporting’ as the heading when you click on the ‘Fundraising Dashboards’ in the side drop-down menu. Why not just call it ‘Reporting’? Naming consistency is important to reduce any confusion.
2. An irritating bug: When I'm logged into Raiser's Edge throughout the day, I'll go into Gift Lists and if I've been logged in sometimes for as little as a few minutes, it says the lists aren't available, etc. To prevent web view from then deleting my set preferences, I have to quickly close the window, re-open the window, log out, close the window again, reopen the window, and log in again. Then, I'm able to view my Gift Lists again. It doesn't affect other areas that I've seen. I can access Receipts, for example, without this issue ever occurring.
3. A bug? - When I click ‘See all recent gifts’ from the home page, it goes to ‘Gift Lists’ and erases my presets.

Other than that, the progress for updates seems to be steady. I'd still like to see better customization ability for Givng Statements, but hopefully that comes before it's time to do tax letters again.

I'm a bit confused here @Ally Nauer. Are you saying that the gift lists are overwriting your current lists? What I thought was the expected behavior was to create a new gift list, but your old lists should still be available? After a certain number of lists open, they do start to cascade and collate into one tab, but they still should be there. Are you sure that your old lists aren't just hiding in the back?

@Dariel Dixon Yes, it's overwriting my current lists. I only have one I use and each time I click ‘See all recent gifts’, it takes the only list I keep as a preset off, then names the new recent gifts list as ‘New List 8’, for example. I'm sure they aren't just hiding, because then I have to manually add it back.

@Ally Nauer That sounds like the expected behavior. It's creating “New List 8” because you have 7 other unsaved lists open, which is well above the number to condense into one tab (at least for me, but I think this is dependent on screen size). You should have a little down arrow that shows your other open lists.

Something like this. Is there a reason that you're not saving your list that you're constantly using? I would think that would be an easy way to resolve it, as you won't have to recreate the list every time if it is getting overwritten? You can just open the saved list.

That said, they do need to update that reporting heading. I imagine it's a small issue when they are working on bigger things…

@Ally Nauer I'm glad to see that @Dariel Dixon made some suggestions which may be helpful. As for the first comment, this is a good thing to add to the idea bank if it does not already exist.
