Constituent Exports with Gift Amount Summary Information

In the past, I've been able to report on different segments of event giving (for example, Donations vs. Tickets or Sponsorships) using Appeals. We've recently updated our operations and are now using Gift Packages to categorize these gifts instead. However, the summary information in exports only allows filtering by Campaign, Fund, and Appeal, not by Package.

I’ve tried using gift queries to filter by package, but this doesn't account for split gifts correctly and can lead to double-counting. I'm looking for a reliable way to summarize giving by package that accurately reflects gift splits.

Has anyone found a workaround or reporting method that handles this well?

@Alex Bloomer one workaround albeit not ideal is to export the data to Excel and filter by packages there.
